App submission can't go through - Shopify team not using other app's production credentials

We are launching an app that requires using a digital business account at Qonto.
I provided production credentials so the reviewing team does not need to open an account themselves. But they’re saying: “We must be able to test the app within our testing environment, as it mirrors a merchant’s account. It is essential that the app functions correctly in this environment, so this remains unresolved as the error persists.” And I explained they need to provide documents so Qonto can verify their identity before they can use the app.

Has anyone experienced something like this before?

So when this app is fully live on the app store and I’m a merchant browsing the app store and I install this app, am I not able to use the app until I get approved by this Qonto third-party?

Hi Liam, yes, that’s right, Qonto must approve you first in the process of opening a digital business account (cf. Manage all your finances from your Qonto business account and Electronic Invoicing Software - Professional Solution).
