[Bug] Plus Trial not considered plus?

Steps to reproduce

Query a Plus Trial shop’s plan details

query {
  shop {
    plan {
      publicDisplayName
      shopifyPlus
      partnerDevelopment
    }
  }
}

Expected results

shopifyPlus should be true since it’s a Plus shop.

Actual results

shopifyPlus is false negatively impacting our application that uses it to determine functionality.

      "plan": {
        "publicDisplayName": "Plus Trial",
        "shopifyPlus": false,
        "partnerDevelopment": false
      }

Hey @NickLozon - thanks for flagging this.

I did some digging and confirmed that shopifyPlus: false is expected for a Plus Trial shop. The shopifyPlus field doesn’t include the Plus Trial state (as you observed), which is identified separately through publicDisplayName: "Plus Trial".

If your app should enable the functionality for both Plus subscriptions and Plus Trial shops, you can extend the existing check:

const isPlusEligible = plan.shopifyPlus || plan.publicDisplayName === "Plus Trial";

The ShopPlan documentation lists these fields but doesn’t currently explain their relationship: ShopPlan - GraphQL Admin

I’ve made sure to share feedback about this internally.

Hope this helps!
