Embedded app checks stuck pending for days despite verified App Bridge and session tokens requesting manual verification

Hi Shopify team,

My embedded app Howseen AI (Client ID: 82d7077bb4369db571498b1ab601c106) has both embedded app checks stuck pending for several days — “Using the latest App Bridge script loaded from Shopify’s CDN” and “Using session tokens for user authentication”. They are the only items blocking submission.

I’ve verified the implementation is correct and confirmed it works live on a development store:

  • App Bridge is the strict-first element in : — unversioned CDN, no async/defer/module, nothing precedes it (the entry is a raw HTML route, not a framework layout).

  • Session-token auth: on load the app calls shopify.idToken() and sends it as Authorization: Bearer to my backend, which verifies it (aud = client_id, dest → shop) and exchanges it for an offline token on every open.

  • App config: embedded = true, application_url = Howseen AI Visibility .

  • Live on a dev store (howseen-test) the app loads embedded and shows “Connected as howseen-test.myshopify.com” — screen recording available — so session data is generated on every open.
    This matches many recent reports of the auto-check not flipping despite a correct implementation (including on the official Remix template). Could a staff member please manually verify / unblock these checks? Happy to share a dev-store screen recording. Thank you.

Hey @Raphael_Aubry, Thanks for sharing this. I took a quick look at the HTML in your application URL that you shared above, and I see it’s missing the name meta tag.

apiKey [Required]

The client ID (also known as the API key) for your application, found in the Shopify Partner Dashboard under your app’s settings.

You must provide this value using a <meta name="shopify-api-key"> tag.
