The new iPad view for the POS admin editor was really nice but I think if we could be able to deep link to a specific section it would be really helpful. I think its great for power POS users but its really confusion for smaller more straightforward merchants.
Previously we could link straight to our extension in Shopify Admin, the merchant would just click Add. That would add it to all POS at all locations, it was really simple and worked for most merchants because it was easy and the team installing might not be the one in store, and they could roll it out quickly to all stores.
However now when we deep link to a non tile extension its like 3 click to find the app, click on the set replenishment extension and then toggle it on (also on the other side of the page)
For a tile it’s even worse, you’ve got to go to sections, open a page, add a tile, add embedded tile, click stock takes, click on the POS extension (again the app website also appears first and adds confusion)

If we could deep link to Pages > Page 1 > My App > My extension. So they merchant can then just click to toggle on.
Same for non tile extensions, if we could use additional query parameters to deep link to turn it on/off.
It would be a much better merchant experience.
