Feature Request: External ID or Metafield Support on B2B Catalogs

Hey Shopifolk - any hope of getting an External ID field or metafield support on the roadmap for B2B Catalogs? It would really strengthen integration integrity and reduce brittle mapping with systems outside of Shopify.

For context on others that find this, we have been rolling out custom ID support across various resources to address exactly this kind of integration challenge. You can see the current list of supported resources in the working with custom IDs documentation. Catalogs aren’t currently on that list.

Fantastic, thank you @KyleG-Shopify . We’d be content with custom IDs as you mentioned - or anexternaId field as can be found on Company ( Company - GraphQL Admin ) and CompanyLocation ( CompanyLocation - GraphQL Admin ).
