Hi everyone,
I’m currently integrating a regional payment gateway (ClicToPay – Tunisia) into a Shopify store.
From previous discussions, I understand that native checkout integration (triggered directly from the “Complete order” button) requires being an approved Shopify Payments Partner and building a Payment App.
My question is:
If I only want to integrate ClicToPay for a single store (not as a public app for multiple merchants), is it still required to become an approved Shopify Payments Partner?
If so:
-
What is the correct procedure to apply?
-
Can an individual developer initiate the process, or must it be initiated by the payment provider (ClicToPay) itself?
-
Is there any pathway for private/native integration limited to one store?
I understand that a post-order offsite/manual payment flow is possible, but I would like to confirm whether native checkout integration is strictly limited to approved Payments Partners.
Thank you in advance for any clarification.
