+1 to what @kyle_liu shared above, the token exchange guide is the right path for getting the access token once your app is set up.
Worth flagging too that the process for creating custom apps has changed recently on our end, as of January 1, 2026 new custom apps can no longer be created directly from the Shopify admin and need to be set up through the Dev Dashboard (or Shopify CLI) instead. If you need an API access token to plug into Lovable, the full walkthrough lives over in our general Help Center here: About apps, and the dev docs have a step-by-step for the new flow at Create apps using the Dev Dashboard. Lovable also has their own official Shopify integration docs over at docs.lovable.dev/integrations/shopify which should walk you through the setup from their side too.
