Hey,
Not sure where to put this, but I was redoing some menu options and wondered why we can only filter by Tag and not an filter?
Given Search and Discovery filtering, seems pretty obvious. maybe I am missing something?

Hey Chris, the two options serve different purposes. With menu item filtering, the products shown will only include the products with the selected tag.
The storefront filters (price, availability, metafields, etc.) are designed for customer interaction on collection pages themselves, not as pre-applied filters from navigation links.
Thanks for the reply (sorry travelling).
I get that, but wouldnt it make more send to be able to do both, so the customer can land on say a full collection filtered to their requirement via metafield, then be able to remove that to see the full collection?
Tag and Metafield filtering don’t particularly play well together.
In most cases, you should leave that empty and instead use search and discovery.
You should only ever use the navigation tag filtering when you want only the products with those tags.
