We’ve hit issues across most of our apps, but one is in a critical state: ~100 active merchants are completely unauthenticated because of this token migration.
We have zero programmatic way to fix this. The only option Shopify leaves us with is asking those ~100 customers to open our app to re-auth. That is completely unfeasible, causes immediate churn, and destroys merchant trust for a platform-side issue.
Shopify’s silence on this breakdown is very poor. This mandatory migration has been mishandled from the start, and leaving partners to shoulder broken production states in the dark is unacceptable.
We need an immediate solution from the Shopify team to restore these token authorisations without forcing merchants to reinstall.
