Hello,
I have been a freelance Shopify developer since 2016 working exclusively for one agency. My hope is to pivot to being listed individually on the Shopify Partner Directory.
I understand the requirements, but am wondering if there is some way to prove and/or use my experience up to this point to meet the eligibility criteria please? The directory for the country I am interested in joining has very few developers.

Right now, the Partner Directory eligibility is tied to activity on your own individual Partner organization account, so there isn’t currently a way to transfer or credit work done under another agency’s account toward your own. The good news is you can create your own Partner account for free and start building your track record right away through referrals and direct merchant work (if you haven’t already), once you reach the Select tier on the Service Track, you’ll be eligible for a Directory invitation. In the meantime, I’d definitely recommend checking out Shopify Academy to start earning Verified Skills, which count toward your tier advancement and are something you can knock out immediately while ramping up your client base. If you have any current clients that you work with as a freelancer, you can always invite them to work with you through a Partner Organization you’ve created with us if they’d like to go for that (this would contribute to your standing within the Partner Program) For a full breakdown of what’s needed at each tier, take a look at the Service Track Program Guide, with your experience, I’d expect you to move through the tiers pretty quickly once you get going!
