We ran into the same problem, and had to implement a workaround.

My workaround was to duplicate the original as a variant but I’m concerned some data will be lost in translation. Any update on this issue? We are required to update to 2024-10 but it’s not working as expected. Thanks so much.

Duplicating product variants that are already defined (i.e. Shirt A already has options “blue” and “white”) works fine, the variant is correctly left alone. Yes that is correct, if you don’t create options first you are going to get this bug and the default variant is going to be overwritten. Create options first manually via another graphql mutation including the default variant and then create your new variants. [image] productOptionsCreate…
