Yesterday we got the same warning again for deprecated calls ? How can we identify the issue ?
Hi @Liam-Shopify,
We had no warnings since december and yesterday we got one. He haven’t been able to identify which request resulted in the Warning. Could you help us to check?
@Liam-Shopify
Hi, Need your help to verify this. I am developing a new app for my company, and I initially used the /product Rest API, after I got this issue, I moved into GraphQL, but now I have no clue onto how I can get this warning removed.
I am unable to get my app reviewed without resolving this.
Good luck @Biraj_eatvertmont - we accidentally fired off a REST API call almost a month ago and are still seeing the warning.
If you do find a way to get it removed, please let me know?
That warning should disappear after 30 days @Taylor_Mahony - if it’s still there after Nov 14th please tag me here.
@Liam-Shopify From above response, I copy applicable to me the same.
We recently upgraded to GraphQL and called off all REST endpoints, did on 14th Nov.
If you’ve removed all REST API calls on Nov 14th, you should see the warnings disappear from your dashboard after 30 days.
Astonished to see quick response. Usually its frustrating experience dealing with Shopify support team, takes month n month but no response.
Has one more question: How is scrutinized at shopify whether all end points are truly abide to GraphQL or remained?
Hi again @Mitul_Rathod
There are some scenarios where the GraphQL alternatives to REST endpoints require additional scopes, so merchants would need to interact with your app to grant permission to new scopes. Is this what you you’re referring to? Are there specific endpoints you’d like to check?
@Liam-Shopify We’ve had another warning like this and it seems to be the same endpoint, could we get more details about it in the DMs we’re on api version 2025-07
Hey Shopify team,
Can you provide some additional details on what caused an app to be marked as Unsupported?
We have dozens of complaints from our customers about that warning, and we as devs do not even know how to fix this. I’ve double- and triple-checked the codebase to find out if we are calling some old API version without success - we are not.
Please do not suggest that we wait 30 days. We will be buried under complaints from our customers by then.
Thanks in advance!
Hi @Sergey-V
I’ve DMed you for details on this.
I’m also closing this topic as the new products API model, and extended variants is in general release. If you are seeing warning related to deprecated REST calls, please create a new topic.
