Shop Minis February 2026 Update: Shoppable UGC, Less Consent Friction, and Home Screen Placement

Hey Minis developers :waving_hand:

February update incoming…

First, here’s a link to the full changelog: Shop Minis February 2026 Update

And here’s a recap of what shipped:

Shoppable UGC

You can now tag products directly on user-generated content. When someone creates a photo or look, it becomes a shoppable moment. This is a big unlock for style, beauty, and lifestyle Minis. Tagging products from UGC today should help with distribution in the future.

Less Consent Friction

We heard you — consent was too heavy. A bunch of changes here:

  • Favorite/unfavorite no longer triggers a consent popup
  • openid scope is now optional unless you need public user IDs
  • Legacy read scopes removed — simpler Minis no longer need product_list:write
  • Consent confirmation is now a toast instead of a modal

Home Screen Quick Link

Minis now show up as a quick link on the Shop home screen. More surface area, more discovery.

SafeArea Support

New component and hook for handling device notches and safe areas. If you’re building full-screen layouts, this one’s for you.

CLI: Enable & Disable

You can now toggle your Mini’s availability directly from the terminal with enable and disable commands. Less clicking around.

Office Hours

We love chatting directly with developers. Bring questions, feedback, or show us what you’re building.
