Sidekick app stoped working after update

Hi ShopifyDevs,

I had a working Sidekick integration and then did a small update on the UI part of the app. Now the integration stoped working UNLESS the merchant opens the app once before using sidekick. Is this a known flaw?

What kind of sidekick integration did you have working? Was it…

  • an app extension to expose data in your app to Sidekick, AKA an app_data extension?
  • an app extension to navigate the merchant to the URL you define, AKA an app_action_link extension?
  • an app extension to let Sidekick to open a dedicated UI from your app, AKA an app_action extension?
  • Something else?

All app_datatools. It keep popping up and down again. The UID is bf927f85-4778-2927-b598-17977684376eeda695c2

I’ve looked at the logs and i do see the security scan on the dev store with an ok.

If I can do anything else, let me know.
