Hey @Samuel, thanks for sharing that additional context. Currently this would need to be done with the app managing the contract. I have shared your feedback and examples as a feature request. ![]()
Hey @KyleG-Shopify, follow up on this thread.
Has there been any developments from Shopify on this subject?
The official Shopify Subscriptions-app doesnāt feature a āmove renewal dateā functionality on the admin-side. Is this correct?
Hey @Samuel, thanks for checking in. There havenāt been changes to this. If broader subscription contract access does ship, itāll be announced in the Developer changelog
Thatās correct. The Shopify Subscriptions app does not include a specific āmove renewal dateā (or āreschedule next billing dateā) feature on the admin side. The closest available action currently is skipping an upcoming order, which effectively delays the next order but does not let you set a specific new renewal date.
All apps will have a ui you can use to make changes like the renewal date when needed.
I interpreted that as āThereās a move renewal dateā. Could you clearify what you meant?
Hey @Samuel, what I meant there is that the available options will be in the app UI that you are using, not managed through the Shopify API. I should have been more clear that not all apps will have that specific feature.
