I have been facing the same issue for the past couple weeks. I found it working without the CLI crashing if I open it in incognito. So could it be a cookie issue where the live store theme id is saved and its causing the mismatch with the dev theme ID

Having the same issue here. I installed @shopifyshopify/cli@0.0.0-snapshot-20260508082501 And I’m still getting this error: Theme ID mismatch: expected 174479343775 but got 173788758175 Request ID: 57168d2d-d20d-4f88-b60a-4a5464a3b611-1778784381

Same issue here, seems to fix if I switch to a new browser or hit incognito mode.

I am experiencing the same issue. Additionally, I’m having trouble with unpublished theme previews in general—they simply display the currently published theme instead. Right now, the only way for me to preview any changes is by entering the theme’s edit mode.
