Adding padding margins to image banners, add customisation to buttons

Hello. I am new to Shopify, I was with WIX before and heard a lot of great things.

Unfortunately I see some very simply features which are not available (without coding).

Having the padding spacing (top and bottom) like in the header is an absolute must.

And having the option for opacity for the buttons are is another must. Right now my buttons are so light we barely see them. You can change the opacity of the image but not the buttons? why?.

Let me know if there is something I missed or if this is something we can integrate. Since WIX had this, I know its possible should be here as well and i am actually very surprised no one has ever mentioned this before.

If anyone can help me in the meantime, would be appreciated.

Hi Card,

I know some themes offer more options/settings when it comes to adding padding and spacing around elements, so it could be worth checking out some of these that you can demo before purchasing:

Padding and margin can also be added via CSS customisations to the code of any theme. If you have more questions related to themes from a merchants perspective, I’d recommend asking in the merchants forums here: https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-design/bd-p/ecommerce-design

Is it too late for me to switch to another theme? Will I lose everything I did?

Hi - it’s not possible to transfer across theme settings as there could be a lot of differences between theme layouts/ settings. So you would lose theme edits but you wouldn’t lose any non-theme changes (eg: shipping settings, general store setting) that you made.

I am making a trading card game, toys, etc site for my physical store.

If you want to check my site up to now, ive only worked on it for2-3 days but you can have an idea of what I mean with the buttons too light, and pictures are too close, need black spacing.
