Loving the new --use-localhost option in shopify app dev, it make development fast! One small request: it would be awesome if we could manually set the port when using this flag.
Right now it defaults to whatever’s open, which can cause issues in more complex dev flows. Being able to do something like:
shopify app dev --use-localhost --port=3000
…would make local development a lot smoother!
Anyone else running into this? Would love to hear thoughts, and hoping the Shopify team might consider this tweak
Hey @Ayush - definitely agree with you there that this would be handy. I’ll touch base with our developers for you to see if they have this on the roadmap.
It’s a little trickier/not as nice as having the CLI app generate the certificate for you automatically, but just wanted to share that as a workaround in case it helps.
Hey again @Ayush - I heard back from our CLI developers on this. I can’t say for sure if this feature is coming, but it is something we have on our radar as a possible addition.
