Hi everyone,
Quick question from an app developer.
We have a merchant who accidentally subscribed to our Yearly app plan and wants to switch to Monthly immediately. From our understanding, when switching Annual → Monthly using the default behavior, Shopify queues the Monthly plan and keeps the Yearly plan active until the cycle ends.
This doesn’t help in cases where the merchant subscribed by mistake and wants a refund + Monthly right away.
Is the recommended approach in this case to:

Cancel the yearly charge

Issue an application credit
-
Have the merchant re-subscribe to Monthly
