API problem - Google Merchant Center broken links

Hi, everyone!

We are having some problems with our Google Merchant Center products. They are connected through our Shopify API, but the links they are connecting our products to are all wrong. For example, we have a Sweatshirt Essential Stoned Blue that is linked to a Tote Bag we have. This has happened to several products of ours.

As we believe this is related to our Shopify API, is there anyone who can help us get our products with the right links?

  1. Ensure that the product URLs are correctly configured in Shopify. Go to your Shopify admin, then check the “Search engine listing preview” for each product to ensure the URLs are correct.
  2. Also, verify that the “Handle” for each product (the part of the URL after your domain name) is unique and correctly associated with the right product.
  3. If the URLs are correct in Shopify but still showing incorrectly in Google Merchant Center, try disconnecting and reconnecting your Shopify store to Google Merchant Center through the Shopify API.
  4. Go to your Google Merchant Center and re-import the product feed, making sure it pulls the most up-to-date product data from Shopify.
  5. If you are using a feed to connect Shopify to Google Merchant Center, check if there are any discrepancies or errors in the feed.
  6. You can use a third-party app like “Google Shopping” or a plugin like “DataFeedWatch” to manage and troubleshoot your product feed.
  7. Sometimes, there may be issues with how products are mapped in the feed (e.g., incorrect product IDs). You can manually adjust or re-map your products in the feed if necessary.
  8. If possible, test with a single product by editing its information and manually updating its feed to see if the issue persists. This might help you isolate whether it’s an issue with the feed or the Shopify API integration.

Thank you so much for your help! It is now fixed and everything back to normal

Have a wonderful day!
