Just wanted to chime in and say that we have noticed support requests for this in the past little while as well. In some cases it to fixed itself, in others we have implemented work-arounds. In the latest one, per this thread, we tried removing markets.json and that didn’t seem to work at all. We couldn’t find any .context.[lang].json files either.
Hey @Station_Team - thanks for adding your experience to this thread. Thanks for trying the workarounds suggested here. It seems like the initial workaround (removing markets.json) isn’t resolving the issue.
Since you mentioned you’ve had multiple support requests about this recently, I’d be happy to look into your affected shops and add these to our active investigation.
If you’re able to share any shop IDs where this is currently happening (either here or via DM which I can set up if you prefer), I can take a look into these for you. Any specifics about when it started or what theme they’re using would be bonus info (and if you’re able to share a screen recording), but no worries if that’s not readily available.
Our team has been trying to replicate this internally to determine the cause of the issue, but we haven’t been able to trigger the same behaviour in our test environments yet - which is why having your specific examples would be really valuable. Thanks again for your patience while we investigate - hope to hear from you soon.
Hi @Alan_g, we’d be happy to help out in whatever way we can. I can give you the details for the two shops that most recently had complaints (I’d prefer to DM you the info if that is okay).
Hi folks - thanks for sharing in this thread. Just wanted to confirm that I believe I was able to replicate the issue on our end now and I’m working with the team internally on this to narrow down the cause and work on a resolution.
I’ll keep you folks updated here in the thread when I have more information/next steps. Thanks again for all your patience - it’s really appreciated.
One more store just started experiencing this issue. This is becoming a massive problem. Merchants immediately turn to blaming the app. They’re missing out on sales and app developers are at risk of bad reviews. @Alan_G I’ll DM you the store.
@Benny_Chan Separate issue. It is happening at random, with no apparent merchant changes to markets and even when viewing the website using the same market that it’s showing in the theme customizer.
I went 10 months without anyone reporting an issue like this and now there’s been 4 stores in the last month. Two in the last couple of days.
On one of the stores with an issue it repaired itself after @Alan_G triggered some kind of cache refresh on the Shopify side.
We just had another complaint about this. @Alan_G, would you like me to send you the shop details? If so, is a DM on the Partner slack the best place to do that?
Hey folks - just sharing an update. We’ve identified this as a possible issue on our end now, still looking into the root cause and working on a fix, but just wanted to share our process at the moment - thanks again for your patience.
I’m experiencing the same issue on a few of my clients’ stores — the app block appears and works correctly in the Theme Editor, but it’s not rendering on the live storefront.
Is there any update on when this issue will be resolved?
Another two stores have reported this problem. We are really worried about merchants uninstalling our app because of this, or even worse, leaving a bad review. Is there any update?
Hey @Station_Team and all, we pushed a fix out earlier today. and the issue should be fixed Could you all let us know if you’re still seeing it persist?
If so, just ping me here and we can keep investigating
Hi @Alan_G. That’s great! It looks to have been fixed in the latest shop (the one where we hadn’t implemented a workaround). I’m waiting to hear back from them to confirm. I’ll let you know if we hear of anything else.
Sounds good @Station_Team - thanks for confirming with me here! I’l mark this thread as solved, but if you or anyone else is still seeing this issue pop up, just @ me in this thread and I’ll look into things!
