I am working with a Shopify Plus merchant and they need some Theme App, Checkout UI extensions and some Functions. Is it possible to connect to their development store while developing/testing the app?

Do you still need to create a Plus Sandbox Store for app development or Shopify B2B customizations? From the Editions conference, it seems that all Shopify Partners now have access to Shopify Plus stores for building or selling. You can also create Shopify Plus development stores directly from your Partner Dashboard. What’s the difference between the two, and is the Plus Sandbox being phased out?
