App testing information when writing app store listing

Hi, I want to submit my app to Shopify, and I have a few questions regarding the App testing information section.

My Shopify app is a non-embedded app that uses a theme app extension. After installation, users are redirected to my service (where login is required) to link their Shopify store with our service.

I have three questions:

  1. In my demo video, do I need to show the installation flow of my Shopify app? Since my app is not listed yet, I can only demonstrate the installation on a development store using the default install URL. Is that acceptable?
  2. Because my app is not listed yet, it doesn’t have a public install URL, so users cannot install the Shopify app from my service page. However, I can still show the installation process on a development store. Is that sufficient?
  3. My service currently supports only two login methods: Google SSO and email magic link. According to the guidelines, Google SSO is not supported. Is it acceptable to use the email magic link method for login during the review process?

Hey @Tri_t_Minh :waving_hand: - for the installation flow, it’s definitely fine if you show the set up process from your development shop.

For your question about the login methods, an emailed link to the merchant to set up their account on your end of things should be fine for sure, although if you are integrating other third party services (that aren’t your own), we do require login credentials to be shared for testing (a bit more info here).
