Question! If you have a selling plan that creates an order but charges no deposit, like a Try Before you Buy purchase option, for example.
If the customer cancels the order and nothing is actually ever charged, does the merchant still pay a transaction fee for that order?

Transaction fees only apply when a payment is captured (when the funds are actually charged).
If an order is cancelled before the payment is captured, no transaction fees will apply. This includes:
- Orders cancelled before any payment processing occurs
- Orders where payment was only authorized but not yet captured
