Block email changes for customers

Hi everyone,

With the new customer accounts, on the profile page (e.g. https://shopify.com//account/profile), customers can change their email address.

Is there a way to disable or block this action? Alternatively, is it possible to hide that section/page entirely?

Is it possible this feature will be implemented in the future?

I would suggest to contact the app owner and tell them they should rely on customerId; this identifier is guaranteed to be unique and stable.
