I’m exploring whether Shopify Plus opens up any developer pathways—like custom apps, Checkout UI extensions, or Functions—that would allow a merchant to bypass standard payment gateways and directly connect their own backend payment API (Sola Payments) to handle transactions during checkout.
Only approved payment partners are allowed to do this and it is currently invitation only.
