With built-in Shopify discounts, if the cart is not eligible for a discount, the user will see an error message; for example, " TESTCODE discount code isn’t valid for the items in your cart."
However, with a Shopify Functions discount, if no discounts apply, no error message appears. Is there a way to produce a similar message?

Thanks for reporting this. This is certainly a limitation of the current platform with Discount functions and something we are exploring, but I’m afraid I have no specific info I can share at this time.

Hi @lodel , our company was working with tobebuilds and we had uncovered this limitation and initial need to open this request. We’re concerned with getting error messaging working as currently no messaging is provided to customers when their promo codes fail - would it be OK to periodically touch base here on this request? I know you don’t have an ETA for this at the moment but we’d like to track it in hopes for a future resolution.
