I’m glad Shopify added discounts to the Carrier Service Request. However, I’ve noticed an inconsistency: when I apply a coupon code at checkout, Shopify requests updated rates, but when I remove the coupon, it doesn’t trigger a new rate request. Is this intentional, or is it a bug?

Can you confirm if the rate changes or reverts to the pre-discount rate at all when the discount is removed? The reason to see if this is cached.
@KyleG-Shopify I can confirm that the rates aren’t updating because Shopify isn’t triggering a new request to fetch them. This appears to be a bug—when a discount is applied or removed during checkout, the system providing shipping rates should be notified so it can recalculate and return accurate rates based on the updated cart value.
