Chat gpt mentions the shopify store but translates the url

Hello

I ve found out that Chat GPT mentions the Shopify store I manage but it translates the url in French (the brand and the store are French) and this translated url relates to nothing.

I can create a redirection, no problem, but I don’t know where this translation comes from.

Any recommandation ?

Hey @scalblog :waving_hand: - I’m wondering if this is potentially an “AI hallucination”. Out of curiosity, does that product itself actually exist on the shop? If you’re open to sharing the URL for the product itself, I can take a look to see if the translation does actually exist on the shop and help out from there.

Hello @Alan_G , maybe the user wanted his/her browser to translate the chat with the AI ? Here is the product Coffret Routine Bien-Être - 8 Roll-Ons + 1 bracelet OFFERT – Lunaluz but the url is kinda different from the translation the AI made

Thanks @scalblog - that definitely seems plausible. When I try to access that link from your screenshot I get a 404 page. I can’t guarantee anything, but I’ll reach out to some folks to see if we can look into what might be happening here since I do know we have some integrations within ChatGPT directly.

Hey @scalblog - I was able to do a bit more digging into this. It looks like the issue likely originated on ChatGPT’s side. I took a look at the shop and it doesn’t look to be integrated with our ChatGPT integration (which is still in early stages with a general release coming soon).

I do know that current AIs can sometimes output things that aren’t accurate, etc, so that’s my hunch as to what happened here. We are looking at helping to make purchasing experiences better via ChatGPT though with our integration which is coming out soon if you are interested at looking into that:
