Can anyone point me towards an app that supports an announcement banner in the checkout as per: UX for the announcement bar

This Shopify.dev Community Forum is specifically for Partner Developers creating apps and storefronts using our various APIs and Developer Tools.
If you’re looking for app recommendations for your store, I may suggest reaching out in our Merchant focused Community Forums instead, which does have a board for App discussion such as this.
From an app developer perspective however, I’m not sure if you will find an app that allows this as this would need to be done with a Checkout Extension, and the Announcement Banner that you linked in our Shopify.dev documentation is specifically for the post checkout Thank You page and the Customer Account pages.
The announcement bar is available on the following buyer-facing pages:
- The Thank you page, which is displayed immediately after a purchase.
- The customer account pages, including the Order Index, Order Status, and Profile pages.
Checkout Customizations like this would be done with a Checkout UI Extension App, which does have targets that specify where customizations can be made in the checkout, and I don’t believe any of the targets is for the top of the checkout where an announcement bar would exist, but there may be other targets available that could work for your use case.
If there are no existing apps in our Shopify App Store that does what you’re looking for, I may recommend reaching out to a Shopify Partner to see if they can create a custom implementation for you, using one of the available Checkout UI Extension Targets.
