Hi Shopify Support team,
I would like to clarify whether our integration model is permitted under Shopify’s custom-app policies.
As a part of its customer engagements, a company would provide software which customers could connect to their databases, including Shopify. To integrate with Shopify, the company would not create, own, or distribute Shopify custom apps by itself. Instead, each Shopify merchant, which is a client of the company, would independently create and manage its own custom app in its Shopify organization and provide the company’s software with that app’s credentials so that the company can access the merchant’s Shopify data on its behalf.
Each custom app would only be associated with and used for the merchant who created it.
Is this model permitted? I am unable to find any public Shopify documentation which disallows the same.
