Just like productsCount is capped at 10,000, collections have the same upper limit.
Can someone from Shopify staff clarify the maximum number of collections a store can have? The documentation mentions a limit of 5,000 smart collections, but there is no information about custom collections. Will the 10,000 cap ever exceed the maximum number of collections in the future?
For manual collections the limit is significantly higher, allowing up to 100,000 collections.

Shopify allows up to 5,000 Smart Collections and recommends a soft limit of 100,000 Custom Collections for optimal performance. Handles are capped at 255 characters, and Smart Collections can have up to 60 rules/conditions. Metafields include a 255-character limit for Namespace and 64 for Key, ensuring structured data storage within these limits.

@Darius_Gai @Liam-Shopify, this is also something used on subscription pages, like productsCount. It would be great to provide the exact count of collections. I believe it might be easier compared to products.
