I can see that Combined Listings are now supported on SHOP APP (though I haven’t seen any change log entry so far for this). This used to be a limitation and was listed on https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/products/combined-listings-app but I don’t see that being mentioned anymore.

When you click through color swatches, media gallery only refreshed the 1st image and all alternate images are now out of sync and are not related to colour you switch to. Compare this to merchant website which has correct behaviour - The Cozy Clog in Cookies and Cream Bouclé | Rothy's
I think this is a bug which should be fixed.

Hi @Rockey_Nebhwani I’m not able to reproduce the differences between clicking through the swatch images in the link you shared and the link to the merchant website. Can you give it a try and let me know if the issue is resolved? If you are still seeing the issue, please let me know the steps you are taking, and we will dig into this further.
I can replicate this on chrome browser latest, windows.
If you click the lite colored slippers, ONLY the main image adapts, the other do NOT match the selection and are for the greyer slippers:
