Our agency sells custom / pre-made Shopify stores, and currently, we are looking to implement Apps into our automated systems to push the changes and settings for the purchased stores, which would allow us to 100% automate the whole store creation process. The issue is, we just need the app to get access to the Shopify store of the buyer and then push the changes. However, to the best of my knowledge, in order to create a public app, even an unlisted one, you need to go through the official review channel, which requires you to abide by strict requirements which, at minimum, is to have a functional app with UI, which is not our goal with this app. Is there any way to create an unlisted app for our agency that does not require us to create a full app that meets the requirements of Shopify? Or the only way for us is to make a minimally viable naked app that passes the review and then use the app for it’s intended purpose?
There is no other way. You either need an unlisted public app, or create a custom app per store.
