Noticed that Custom Apps are no longer created through the admin store but through the dev dashboard. I work for a fulfillment store that needs access order from the admin to get orders. How do I create a custom app using the new 2026 process to access admin functionality only.

I am having the same problem. I made an normal app through the dev dashboard and I can access averything from within that app. However I need to do some developement outside the app, and I read that I need a Custom App so I can get the correct Admin Access Key. I can’t seem to figure out how to do this.
Hi @Jeff_Byttow and @George_S - you’ll need to use the token exchange or authorization code grant, both of which are fully implemented in our app templates.
