Currency Format Overwritten/Hidden in International Markets with Shopify Markets Enabled

When Shopify Markets is enabled and our store is accessed from an international market, the custom currency format we’ve applied to our store’s currency is either overwritten or hidden (as observed during inspection).
Questions:

  • Is Shopify Markets automatically overriding our custom currency formatting for international visitors?
