Customer account extension - check it's been enabled

I have a few extensions and I’m not seeing any way to check if the checkout or customer account extension has been enabled by the merchant.

Is this possible?

Unfortunately this is not yet possible, although it is on our roadmap

Is there any work arounds that I could use in the mean time?

Like checking when in the theme editor and setting a metafield to say they have enabled it?

Just following up here - I’m not aware of any workarounds that currently would reliably let an app know that a customer account extension is enabled. Maybe the community here might have some approaches they can recommend though.
