Customer segments + automatic discounts API?

Hello,

I’ve just seen that Shopify’s built-in automatic discounts now support customer segment eligibility. However, I don’t see fields for this in the discountAutomaticAppUpdate mutation in the 2025-10 API release candidate.

Will apps be able to set customer segments for automatic discounts? This will be very useful for merchants with complex discount requirements that can’t easily be achieved with just tags or metafields.

I don’t currently have a timeline for related fields being added to the next API release. Keep an eye out on the dev changelog for any changes here.
