Hello,
Does anyone know if the Graphql customers/update webhook subscription topic notify about changes in customerStatistics fields (i.e. rfmGroup and predictedSpendTier)?
Thanks in advance!

From their doc, it looks like customers/update topic doesn’t include statistics field.
Hey folks
- can confirm, we don’t surface the statistics fields on customer update webhooks. Just out of curiosity though, if you’d like to share your use case for this, I’m happy to set up a feature request so we can look at adding this in the future since I can definitely see some uses for this.
Hope this helps!
Hey Alan,
Thanks for your reply!
This would be super helpful and would save us a lot of effort and time, as our application needs this information for our internal metrics.
Would be cool if (once the feature request is created) we can get an estimate on when it would be expected.
Until then, It would also be very cool if you can share with us how often these customer analytics are calculated on Shopify’s side (is it event-based or a periodic computation?)
Best,
Khaled
Thanks for following up, @khaledAtKeaz, your use case makes sense for sure, especially if you’re needing to provide info to merchants to create smart targeted marketing. I’ll check in with some folks internally to see if this is on our roadmap. I can’t guarantee anything, but I’ll loop back here once I have more info to share.
Hey again @khaledAtKeaz , just following up here. I was able to touch base with some of our product team and I did want to confirm that it is expected behaviour that we don’t surface these fields on customer-related webhooks, but I will set up a feature request for you on my end.
I definitely understand it’s not the most ideal answer, but I’m more than happy to get that feature request set up and advocate for you that way. Let me know if I can assist with anything else ![]()
Hey Alan,
Thanks for your quick reply and action! Where can I check for updates on this topic?
Also until then, It would also be very cool if you can share with us how often these customer analytics are calculated on Shopify’s side (is it event-based or a periodic computation?)

Hey @khaledAtKeaz, we don’t make specific guarantees on the timing in terms of when the customer analytics are calculated on our end, but we do update these based on the inherent cadence of the underlying internal models for the stats. I can’t share a specific timeframe, but I would say that a safe guardrail would be that these are updated daily or a bit faster.
For updates, usually our changelog would be the best spot to get more info: Recent changes to Shopify’s platform
Hope this helps as always!
