What are the requirements for Shopify to display a
preview on customizer metaobject selection options?

The metaobject entries overview renders either color
fields or image fields as thumbnails, however I can’t
get the customizer options to behave the same ..

Hi @ShopNative, we don’t currently support thumbnail previews for metaobject type input settings in the theme editor. I’ve submitted a feature request internally on your behalf so we can explore adding this in the future.
