Delivery profiles and mixing subscription products and non-subscription

Has anyone encountered a situation where you have a delivery profile that applies to a certain selling plan group, you add products to the cart with a selling plan that is in this selling plan group and then the delivery profile applies correctly. Then you add in other products to the cart that do not have any selling plans and now the delivery profile no longer applies.

The purpose of this would be to allow someone to sign up to certain subscription products that are delivered on a regular basis and have the delivery profile apply so they can get that rate while also adding non-selling plan products to their cart.

Does the cart have to have only the products with the applicable selling plans for the delivery profile to show?

Is this a known limitation? Any workarounds? Maybe a straight shipping discount would be more appropriate.

Hey @the_one when you add the non-selling plan products and the delivery profile doesn’t seem to apply, are you seeing the subscription shipping rate disappear entirely, or are you seeing two separate shipping costs displayed at checkout (one for the subscription items and one for the one-time purchase items)?

Based on how delivery profiles work with selling plan groups, this may actually be expected behaviour, a delivery profile associated with a selling plan group is specifically scoped to products purchased with that selling plan, while one-time purchase items would fall back to your general/default delivery profile.

If your goal is to apply a special shipping rate to the entire order when subscription products are present, a Shipping Discount or Delivery Customization Function might be a better fit for this use case. Let me know what you’re seeing at checkout when you have the mixed cart, and I’d be happy to confirm things!
