Dropped Cart Ajax API requests

Short description of issue

Ajax API requests being dropped

Reproduction steps

Hello,

As per this changelog (Improved concurrency handling in the Cart AJAX API and Storefront Cart GraphQL API - Shopify developer changelog) Cart API requests should now allow concurrency and ensure add are never dropped.

However, I’ve been able to reproduce consistently on a quick order list section dropped requests (either add or change endpoint), without any 409 errors. One thing that might be important is that I’m using them in the context of section bundled rendering (so I’m asking multiple sections to be re-rendered in the payload).

If an engineer at Shopify would like to have a look, please send me a private message and I would be happy to give you some dev stores to reproduce the ssue.

Hi @bakura10,

Can you create a ticket with us through help.shopify.com?
We’ll need to look into the logs of these shops but we’re only authorized to investigate individual shops through the authentication process that occurs in the Help Center.
Thanks!

Will try to do that after the holidays. By the way, this new process is extremely cumbersome, what’s the point of this forum if we have to go through the Shopify support, battle with the non-technical support to hopefully have this escalated? Slack was way simpler.

This forum focuses on helping with development questions and platform-wide issues.

When we need to access shop admins or shop data, we follow strict security protocols. Our support system is designed to handle these requests safely and efficiently.

We’ve recently improved how technical queries are routed through support. If you’re having trouble connecting with technical support, please let us know. We value your feedback and use it to improve our support process.
