Currently the Draft Order API allow setting SKU value for custom item, this is immensely helpful for merchant who want to track sales by SKU on analytics.
Some merchants have feedback to me, they want to do similar analytics on Vendor (by vendor name) as well.
I would like to request the ability to set Vendor name for custom item in draft order if possible.

While we don’t have a specific field for “vendor”, have you explored using custom attributes to store the data there?

There is a “Vendor” field for normal product , which we can input text into :
And in the Store analytics, we can filter sales by Vendor name :
The ask here is to allow custom item in draft order to also have access to this field, thank you.
