It’s been asked multiple times for this now and seems to not be listened to, but please can we get article_list input setting? We have list options for pretty much everything else minus articles.
We even have metaobject input settings now so it seems so bizarre we’re still missing this.
Please can this be passed onto the appropriate team?

Happy to pass that on for you. Just to make sure I understand correctly, you’re wanting to select a list of articles associated with a blog?
There’s currently Blog and article, but you’re wanting article list (similar to the other objects that have lists) in the Input settings

Bumpin’ this now that we have the new article metafields. Would make sense to be able to assign a bunch of blog articles to a product (as buying guides for instance) and then assign that as a dynamic source to a ‘blog-feed’ type section below the fold… can’t currently. Any ETA?

I would like to clarify what’s missing here. With the recent addition you can create list metafields of blog posts and display those in your theme.
Is the limitation you are seeing still the lack of being able to pick these in a theme or something else?
Hey @KyleG-Shopify I’d like the ability to define a product-level metafield that stores a list of articles, and then pass that metafield in as a dynamic source to a blog-feed style section. Ideally, the section would contain blocks configured with an article input setting type, and I’d be able to iterate over the metafield’s article list to generate those blocks automatically–we can do this with something like products for an `upsell` type section.
Alternatively, instead of looping logic, it would solve the problem if sections supported an article_list input setting type (analogous to collection_list in section settings), so that a single setting could provide a structured list of article references directly, without manually configuring each block.
