[FEATURE REQUEST] - Bring back .myshopify.com control

Hiya,

Since store creation has been moved over to the Dev Dashboard we’ve lost the ability to decide on the .myshopify.com URL used, instead it takes your store name, handleizes it and appends a random string.

Why the random string? The .myshopify.com url without the random string was available.

Now I have to use the 1 use myshopify.com domain name change and have unnecessary redirects in the admin plus API confusions on top just to have a cleaner URL.

Please bring back the ability to control the .myshopify.com URL..

Big +1 here, even if it’s just for dev dashboard.

It feels like they made this change to simplify the onboarding for merchants but neglected to think about things from a partner perspective. Having control over what is normally considered the shop’s unique ID and access point is kinda a no brainer IMO, but now we’re stuck with some auto-generated string that has no context for reference to the store in question…
