How to Bulk Edit Product Variant Metafields in Shopify?

Hi Shopify Team,

We had a quick question regarding product variant metafields.

When we use Shopify’s default import/export tool, we only see columns for product metafields, but not for product variant metafields. Is there currently a way to include variant metafields in the CSV import/export?

Additionally, in the bulk edit interface we noticed that we can edit product metafields, but we don’t see an option for editing product variant metafields.

Can you please confirm if this is supported or if there’s an alternative method to bulk manage variant metafields?

Hello not Shopify Team,
But at the moment there isn’t a view where you can bulk update product variant metafields directly.
You can do so via Shopify Admin API or via third party apps however.

Okay @JordanFinners. Also when export products we got product metafield columns in csv whereas when we edit them and try to import it the product metafields don’t get updated
