How to tell if merchant is in customise panel

How can i tell if the merchant is in the customise panel of Customer accounts area, so i can display dummy data?

Hey Tom, you can use the extension API, from extension.editor we will be able to tell whether the extension is rendered within Editor where merchant can add, remove, or update extensions
