I’m currently developing a Shopify theme and am interested in integrating Lighthouse CI into my workflow. Specifically, I would like to know if it’s possible to set up the Shopify Lighthouse CI GitHub Action within my Shopify development store to automate performance checks.

Goals:

  1. Automated Performance Testing: Ensure that my theme meets performance standards consistently.
  2. Continuous Integration: Incorporate Lighthouse checks into my GitHub workflow to catch issues early.

Questions:

  • Is it feasible to add Lighthouse CI GitHub Action to a Shopify development store?
  • What steps are required to set this up in a GitHub repository linked to my Shopify theme?
  • Are there any best practices or resources you would recommend for optimizing performance based on Lighthouse results?
