The link to the documentation in the announcement above doesn’t work.
When I try and query the API I get the following error “Access denied for inventoryTransfers field. Required access: read_inventory access scope. Also: Shop must have access to the enhanced transfers feature.” How can I get access to the enhanced transfers feature?
It seems I was a bit keen, I can now see the API docs and create an inventoryTransfer and query it using GraphQL, however, I can’t retrieve transfers created in the admin nor can I see the transfer I created via the API in the admin, is this expected behaviour?
@Liam-Shopify
We received an email from Shopify in January saying Transfers API will be available for testing starting March 3rd in unstable release. See screenshot below.
I was looking forward to testing it out and like @GhostApps I also can’t see transfers created in Admin from the “Transfers” page when I query inventoryTransfers in GraphiQL app but am able to query transfers created via API. Similarly the transfers I created using API don’t show up in the Transfers page on Admin.
Maybe it is because we need to create a separate “developer preview” store as mentioned in the Shopify email. But I don’t see “transfers early access” option in the developer preview while creating a dev store.
It’ll be helpful if a dedicated thread, forum or slack channel was created for this major api launch .
I connected with the team that owns this and while the APIs are available in unstable, the admin UI is still under development and will only be accessible in a developer preview store that will be available in the coming weeks.
Appreciate your patience while we prepare this feature.
