Network access support for Discount Functions

The Discount Function API now supports network access for Enterprise merchants, giving them the ability to integrate with external premium discount, loyalty, and promotion systems.

Remember, Shopify for Enterprise only.

Allowing partners to potentially block checkout due to outages or unperformant external APIs is risky for both the merchant and the Shopify platform.

I assume there are not plans to bring this functionality down to Plus/non-Plus Shopify Stores level. Enterprise assumes a high degree of vetting.
